The rebate detail and configuration panels¶
Two read-only drill-downs let you inspect a single rebate: the detail breakdown (what it earned, member by member, for one period) and the configuration panel (how it is set up).
Rebate detail breakdown¶
Opened from the rebate name on the rebate management dashboard (and from targeting), this panel shows one rebate element for one period broken down per member: each member's rebateable turnover, rebate, paid status, and payable amount. When the period runs past the latest figures date, it also shows estimated turnover and rebate from projections. A total row sums the columns.
It reads calculated rebate lines from the search index filtered to the deal, element, and period, and returns every member's row for that element — it is not scoped to the viewer's own company, so treat it as a finance drill-down.
On sites with in/out rebates, extra "out" value/amount columns appear; suppliers see a restricted column set.
Rebate configuration panel¶
Opened from a rebate on a deal's Rebate tab
(a superusers-only button), this panel shows how the rebate is
configured rather than what it earned: rebate type (Guaranteed,
Stepped/Targeted, Individual Target, Group Growth, Individual Growth),
payment period, payable-to, whether it calculates or is manually entered,
non-retrospective and linear flags, the rebate value, any date
restrictions, and the step bands. The "out value" step column shows only
to admin users on in/out-rebate sites.
This panel calls nothing — it renders the rebate configuration already loaded with the deal.
Why do these panels change unexpectedly¶
- The breakdown's numbers moved — the rebate was recalculated after new turnover; the panel reflects the current index.
- Estimate columns appeared or vanished — they show only while the period extends beyond the latest figures date.
- The configuration panel differs from what a member sees earning — configuration is the definition; the breakdown is the calculated result, which also depends on turnover and participation.
What these panels are not¶
- Not editable — configuration is changed on the deal (Editing deal content); manual amounts are entered via manual rebate entry.
- Not payment screens — recording payments happens on the dashboard.
