Manual rebate entry¶
Some rebates are not calculated automatically — their element is set to not calculate (Editing deal content). For these, the rebate amounts are entered by hand per member and period, in the manual rebate dialog.
Where: the dialog opens from a deal's Rebate tab — the manual-edit button appears next to a period only when that rebate element does not calculate — and can also be created new from the rebate management dashboard.
Steps¶
- Open the manual rebate dialog. When creating new, pick the agreement, the rebate element, and the period; when editing, the existing figures are pre-loaded.
- The dialog lists member companies. For each, enter turnover, rebate value (%), and rebate amount (£) — with separate "out" columns on in/out-rebate sites.
-
Optionally use the spreadsheet download/upload to fill many members at once.
-
Save changes.
Result¶
Saving replaces the rebate's payment records for that deal, element, and period: existing rows are removed and the entered figures are written (marked as manually created), then the rebate element is re-indexed so it appears on the rebates view, dashboard, and calendar. Delete removes the period's manual figures entirely.
If it fails¶
- No manual-edit button on a rebate — the element calculates automatically; manual entry applies only to non-calculating rebates.
- Saved figures replaced earlier ones — by design; a save wipes and rewrites the period's rows rather than merging.
